FOX Sports San Diego to Televise the “Battle on the Midway” Locally

FOX Sports Networks to Distribute the Game Nationally

Channels Carrying the Game include FSN, FOX College Sports,
 MSG Plus, MASN2, and Select Comcast and Root Sports Networks

San Diego – FOX Sports Networks today released updated national television distribution for “Battle on the Midway,” which has been moved from Friday, November 9, to Sunday, November 11, because of weather concerns.

The game is now scheduled for Sunday at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT.

FOX Sports San Diego will produce the game and televise it locally, while FOX Sports Networks (FSN) will distribute the game to its affiliates across the country.  Pregame coverage is set to begin at 3 p.m. ET / noon PT.

Featuring #9 Syracuse Orange vs. #20 San Diego State Aztecs playing aboard the flight deck of the historic USS Midway aircraft carrier anchored in San Diego Harbor, “Battle on the Midway “ will be the 2012-’13 season opener for both teams. 

“We remain committed to producing and televising this great match-up to viewers in San Diego and to college basketball fans across the country,” said Henry Ford, senior vice president and general manager, FOX Sports San Diego.  “The players’ safety and the integrity of the game are the primary concerns, so we’re more than happy to work with San Diego State and Syracuse to accommodate the schedule change.”
